Kaizen: managing through continuous improvement
Context and rationale
Invented by the carmaker Toyota, the Kaizen system (or Kaizen method) aims to ensure a company's continuous improvement by involving employees in the approach. Kaizen is a key Lean concept.
Kaizen is not a tool or a method, but a state of mind. It means never being satisfied with a given situation and always seeking to improve it. Everyone can propose corrective actions that will stimulate production and productivity. The idea is to involve everyone in the company.
